WEB-SHOP IS FULLY PUBLISHED WITH CURRENT STOCK
WORKSHOP VISITS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
We like to to think that anything is possible (within reason) and we relish a challenge so ultimately it usually just comes down to timescale and budget.
Given the fluid nature of projects like this we operate a flat workshop rate per hour to cover all mechanical/ fabrication/ design/ wiring/ part sourcing work etc plus part cost. We very much work with you to get the details you want incorporated with your build which is why no build is the same. Each of your component item choices have the potential to vary considerably depending on which option you choose. Usually the time is in the details to make things compatible and these are hard to assess until you get into the build. We would need to understand the current mechanical condition of your donor bike and at least an idea of where you wanted to go with the project.
In many cases we reverse-engineer your intended budget to best advice what is achievable.
It is safe to say that 100% of our projects end up changing whilst on route, that is what is exciting about commissioning a bespoke bike and being involved with the journey.
If you want specific feedback on your own project we highly recommend booking a consultation slot of 30 mins or an hour may help you gauge this better.
Every build is different, as bespoke projects are all unique timescales vary. Once we have an idea of scope of the project we can best advise you and we keep you fully up to date with the progress of the build.
Due to our current waiting list we will schedule a start date prior to accepting a bike into our workflow.
It is great to have as many pictures of what you have in mind for your custom build. Instagram/ Pintrest/ Google images and alike are great for some inspiration. It is also useful to know what your starting point is. Mechanical and cosmetic condition of your "donor" bike can heavily influence the scope of the project. As much pre-work you can carry out before getting in touch will help us give you the best information in return. Of course, continue to read our FAQ section
We ask for a holding deposit to secure a slot on the waiting list for the workshop. This is credit against future work, however non-refundable if cancelled on your part. We can provide the payment details during our communications. Once your deposit is down you are on the waiting list!
Please note: We are currently looking at a circa 14 to 16 month waiting list to book any new projects onto the waiting list/into the workshop.
We are extremely busy building dream rides and every spontaneous enquiry takes time away from our current work stream. We therefore like to schedule specific time in our workflow to ensure no distraction from our current builds whilst being able to fully commit our focus to any new exciting projects, which is why we tend to prefer the initial contact to be a well constructed email enquiry which we can have time to digest and feedback accordingly.
We like to ensure every client and build gets our full attention and request you book a 30 mins or an hour consultation slot (currently via Zoom call) to discuss your project in detail (includes detailed email requests and workshop visits).
As we commence your bike build we will request a proportional up-front payment which is dependent on the scope of the project and weather or not we are having to source a donor bike or any large ticket items. From then on we will ask for stage payments to ensure there are no big surprises at the end and you are fully comfortable with your budget.
Alternatively you are welcome to pay in installments leading up to your build slot to help spread the expense.
Full payment will need to be made before any bike is released from the premises. Please ensure you have sufficient means of paying for the full build upon commencement of the project to avoid any potential disappointment.
In general we only build to commission, that way we give our clients exactly what they want in terms of specification, fit and finish in line with their budget expectations. There are sometimes exceptions to this rule, so please check out our motorcycles for sale page for any current stock.
We do sometimes have some suitable donor bikes available and listed on our site if you see an example of one of our previous builds which you really like.
If you are looking for subtle changes (such as lighting an bolt-on accessories) then it may help up-lift your bike for less than the cost of changing your machine.
Anything more than the above than it is pretty safe to say... no.
We customise/build bikes because we want ours to be different than anything else out there. Anything bespoke and "one-off" will always be more costly than just another bike rolling off the production line, but this is why we do what we do and the most exciting part about it.
Points to consider here that when the main bike manufacturers mass produce bikes and accessories (I know from personal experience), they have lots of time to design, develop and test an engineered solution before they hit the "go-button" and mass produce items in a more cost-effective manor. When we build one-of-one bikes we have to carry out this process for one bike at a time and sometimes the neatest and simplest solutions have taken the longest time to get to.
You commission a custom bike build because you want something unique and tailored to your personal preference and style, there is definitely not right or wrong answer and you only have to justify it to yourself (and possibly your better half!!).
As above, we are fortunate enough to be extremely busy building bikes and as much as we love to talk bikes we are fully committed to providing our full attention to our current client builds.
Please feel free to book a consultation slot to discuss your project in detail either over the phone/video or email.
We operate a waiting list for workshop time. Due to space we are unable to accept projects earlier than their allotted time. Once scheduled work is complete we then arrange collection/drop off to suit. To avoid congestion we reserve the right to charge a storage fee once work is completed if there is a need to delay in collection.
We are grateful to have a rather long waiting list at the moment and therefore unable to "squeeze in" smaller projects with priority given to our customers on our waiting list, in order. Please bare this in mind when compiling your enquiry.
If you all of the above info has not answered this for you, it is probably worth booking a consultation slot to talk about some details.
When dropping us a line it is great to find out a little more about you. After all, we are all about building your dream ride, so knowing more about you really helps us tailor our service to you. (Plus it is always great to meet new biking buddies).
We do not discriminate, we LOVE anything with 2 wheels and big fans of cycling/mountain biking and e-bikes too! We are keeping a keen eye on how the biking market is changing and the future of 2-wheeled customisation. Most of our friends & clients tend to cross-over the different genres and we certainly embrace it.
We are able to assist in collecting your project bike or deliver your pride and joy after an extensive re-work safely and securely. This is charged out the same as workshop rate from when we leave and return to the workshop, so if you are concerned that transportation of your project bike and donor parts is stalling progress, fear not!
We are often asked by our friends and clients as to the best products, equipment, tools and care products to use on their pride and joy. We only recommend and endorse products that we use in our in our workshop and on our own bikes (some of which we even sell in our web store).
We are always keen on collaboration and being involved with exciting, premium projects, so if you would like to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Personally, we do not use a third party to transport your dream ride and believe in the personal approach that comes with a tailored collection/drop off service buy ourselves is something we believe in. We are able to assist in collecting your project bike or deliver your pride and joy after an extensive re-work safely and securely, so if you are concerned that transportation of your project bike and donor parts is stalling progress, fear not!
Feel free to get in touch to discus how we can kick-start your project and collect your motorcycle as part of our bespoke handover and consultation process .
